Wilder Page 35
I join him outside and find him looking up at the princess party decorations he’s hung for Savannah’s party.
“What’s up?” I ask, running my gaze over his muscles. Seriously, he’s only improving with age. I had to force him to have the snip after Levi was born because I couldn’t be trusted to keep my hands off him. Without the snip, I saw a future where I was the laughingstock of the world when a family photo of us and our thirty children was leaked to the press.
He eyes me. “Is this how you wanted the decorations?”
I smile and move into him, putting my arms around his waist. “This is perfect.”
He looks down at me and brushes his lips over mine. “Where’s my wife and what did you do with her?”
“Are you saying your wife is a pain in your ass?”
He grins. “Well, there are moments.”
“I hope you know you’re skating very close to no-sandwich territory today. You might wanna rein your shit in.”
“What, because I ate some fuckin’ lollies?”
“That, and you made Savannah’s dress pink, scared Levi with your snake talk, and allowed Savannah to get mud all over her party dress. There’s a lot a lot going on today.”
“I’m thinking I should maybe trade my wife in and look for a new one. The one I’ve got is getting really fuckin’ picky in her old age.”
“You’ll find yourself with no balls really fucking fast if you do that.”
More of that grinning I live for. Then a slap on my ass before he pulls something out of his pocket and hands it to me. “You need to find room for this.”
I look at the photo of him with the kids and find myself swooning all over the place. Yep, me and swooning are tight after a five-year relationship. Looking back up at him, I say, “We’re gonna need a second fridge soon, and not for food.”
Wilder bought one of those instant polaroid cameras last year and takes so many damn photos that we’ve almost completely covered the front and sides of our fridge.
“Savannah’s always on at me to take those photos,” he says.
“Bullshit.”
“It’s not bullshit.”
“It fucking is. We both know you’re the big softie who always wants to snap photos of you and the kids.”
“You planning on standing out here arguing with me all fuckin’ day?”
“You know it’s my favourite thing to do.”
“Ain’t that the fuckin’ truth.”
I stare up at him. This man I haven’t gone a day without loving since that day I vowed never to again. He married me within three months of that day and knocked me up a week later. It turned out that having kids was something I did want, but I’m pretty sure that’s only because I had the best human alive to do that with.
He’s laughed with me.
He’s sat in the dark with me.
He’s taught me how to deal with blood.
And he goes to the ends of the earth every damn day for me.
“Tell me how much you love me, Justin Miller,” I say as I bring my hand to his face. My favourite face of ever.
“I fuckin’ love you to death, Scarlett Miller.”
“And you’ll make sandwiches with me for life, right?”
“Yeah, Cherry Bomb, it’s you, me, and sandwiches for life. And if you ever tell me you’re sick of my sandwiches, good fuckin’ luck.”
Thank you so much for reading WILDER.
I hope you loved it as much as I loved writing it.

About the Author
Nina Levine
Dreamer.
Coffee Lover.
Gypsy at heart.
USA Today Bestselling author who writes about alpha men & the women they love.
When I’m not creating with words you will find me planning my next getaway, visiting somewhere new in the world, having a long conversation over coffee and cake with a friend, creating with paper or curled up with a good book and chocolate.
I’ve been writing since I was twelve. Weaving words together has always been a form of therapy for me especially during my harder times. These days I’m proud that my words help others just as much as they help me.

Acknowledgments
This book was written in a hot mess of weeks during which I could not have survived without the love, support, and encouragement of my two girls, Jodie & Eliahn. Like, for real, I actually wouldn’t produce anything without these two. Also, Scarlett is a mix of Jodie & Eliahn, so this book would not exist without them.
Jodie, thank you for loving Wilder & Scarlett with all your heart. It helped me continue when I didn’t think I had it in me to do that. Also, girl, that Friday night 6pm deadline, I am here for it! Next time, we’re aiming higher, my friend! We’ve got this shit.
Eliahn, you kill me. How did I ever make a human so beautiful and funny as you? I thank the universe every day for giving you to me.
Becky Johnson, thank you for being you. After all these books together, I pretty much just write the same thing here, but I never want to stop saying thank you, so thank you <3
Letitia & Eric, thank you for the amazing cover!! I love it so damn much!!
To my readers, bloggers, reviewers - THANK YOU!!! Your love for the Storm series never fails to inspire me. I love writing these men and women, and love that you keep wanting more. If you don’t receive my emails, and you love Storm, I encourage you to sign up because that’s where I’ll be sharing a lot of free Storm content this year. Group texts, anyone?!! ;)
